Only one family practices this craft in the town of Nirona and they have been doing so for 7 generations. They procure their raw materials i.e. camel and goat hide from Rajasthan. They used to produce intricately embroidered mojadi (shoes), but recently have shifted to belts, purses, wallets, bags, etc.
